In the state of Arizona, you must be at least 21 years old to purchase or redeem lottery tickets.
Unfortunately, in the state of Arizona you cannot purchase tickets by phone, mail, or the internet. You can only purchase Arizona Lottery tickets for authorized retailers.
For Arizona Lottery Draw Games i.e. The Pick, Fantasy 5, Triple Twist, and Pick 3 drawings are conducted at the Arizona Lottery Phoenix Office. All Arizona Lottery Quick Draw drawings are conducted by Scientific Games’ central-gaming system. The Multi-State Lottery Association pulls the Powerball drawings in Tallahassee, Florida and the Mega Millions drawing in Atlanta.
You have 180 days from the date of the draw to redeem a winning ticket. Fast Play game tickets expire 180 days from the purchase date. If a ticket expires, it cannot be redeemed.
If you lose your lottery ticket, you are out of luck, and it is like losing cash. Once you find out that you are a winner, protect yourself by signing the back of your ticket, filling in your address and keeping it safe place. If someone finds the ticket and it is not signed, anyone of legal age who has the ticket, can redeem it. The Arizona Lottery is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged tickets.
In the state of Arizona, the names of people or legal entities that have won lottery prizes of $600 or more are held confidential for 90 days from the date the prize is awarded and are not a public record during that period. In accordance with Arizona Revised Statute (A.R.S.) §5-573(D), if you won a lottery prize of $100,000 or more, you may choose to keep your name permanently confidential. The only information that is not kept confidential is the winner's city and county of residence.
The Arizona Lottery will not accept a blind trust as Arizona Revised Statutes § 5-5-575 requires the state of Arizona to make sure that any lottery winner does not owe the state any money, which must be set off against the Lottery prize.
There are a few ways to check your lottery tickets. The first way is to use the Lottery Scanner from Lottery Current by downloading the APP and testing out a trial or purchasing a subscription. The second way is to download the Arizona Lottery Players Club app to scan and enter all your eligible tickets into current promotions and find out if are a winner.

Revenue from the sale of lottery tickets in Arizona go toward state funds, helping the homeless, and other state initiatives i.e. sponsoring various nonprofit organizations. These organizations are all dedicated to supporting the needs of our most vulnerable citizens, growing our economy, protecting and preserving our iconic wildlife and landscapes, and to building and maintaining our public universities’ facilities and infrastructure. In 2021, three examples of these sponsorships from FY2021 are the American Heart Association (Tucson Chapter), Fiesta Bowl Charities, and the Grand Canyon Conservancy.
